Change To Heal, Clarity For Life.
Dexter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), psychotherapist, Certified Hypnotherapist, and a Certified Brainspotting practitioner/ Consultant. More importantly, I am a neurodivergent, first generation immigrant, Taiwanese-American.
My Story
My work is grounded in helping people who carry heavy responsibilities, people navigating high-stress careers, individual who wants to live free from their past/trauma, and immigrants or children of immigrants seeking to live with greater strength, clarity, and freedom.
I began my career in a suicide prevention hotline. Since then I worked in different hospital and community health settings, where I worked with complex caseloads, facilitated groups, and supported clients through their most difficult time. Those experiences shaped my belief that therapy should not only relieve suffering, but also unlock potential. Whether I’m walking alongside someone through trauma, supporting sexual or racial minorities clients, or helping overachieving population manage burnout, my goal is to meet each person exactly where they are in a professional but a chill, relax, and warm way.

My Approach
My practice blends evidence-based psychotherapy such as Psychodynamic, CBT, and DBT with tools for days-to-days improving. I am certified in Brainspotting and trained in EMDR. I am also integrate approaches from hypnotherapy, walk-and-talk therapy in the Bay Area and geek therapy.
I am bilingual in English and Mandarin, and I actively build spaces for Mandarin-speaking clients and communities to connect with modern psychotherapy. From hosting peer meet-ups to assisting international pshchotherapy trainings, I am committed to making healing practices more accessible across languages and cultures.
Outside the therapy room, I explore the intersections of men’s health, strength training, and mental performance, because healing isn’t just about mind or body, but about how both work together.
